- Hello! I am willing to beta a maximum of 500k words for you - this can be spread out over a maximum of 5 fics.
While I am primarily offering beta reading services including grammar/spell check, my style of beta reading also includes cheering you on (aka cheer reading) where I will leave little notes about what I love about the story/what I would like to read more about/characterizations or storylines that I am interested in. If you need help with any research aspects of the story, I am most certainly happy to help with that as well (I am very into learning new things and researching basically everything).
Anything outside of the Do Not Wants that isn’t mentioned on my likes, I am most certainly open to reading but I will require more details before I say a definite yes/no. If there is something here that overlaps with themes that I like (eg. Major Character Death but the character comes back to life or MCD with a Happy Ending), please feel free to reach out to me and I am most certainly open to discussing/negotiating.
The one thing I am not good at doing is sensitivity reading, mostly because things that would offend or hurt others don’t usually bother me and I am quite chill about (mostly) everything. That being said, I can offer sensitivity guiding, which would basically be me advising you on things that I think would offend/hurt/be harmful to certain groups of people, but ultimately you would make the decision as an author to include or not include it. If there is anything else I haven’t mentioned but that you would like me to do, please message me, and I would be happy to have a more lengthy conversation there! I would advise messaging me before you bid on anything, just because on the (very) off chance that I say no to something you would like me to do, at least you wouldn’t have bid on my services already and you can find someone else who you vibe with 🙂
One important thing that I would like to notify: I have a tendency to read messages and completely forget about replying back, so sometimes I will take some time to get back to you (up to 2 weeks). If this bothers you in any way, please don’t bid on my services as I don’t want to frustrate or irritate you while working together.
Differing price increments don’t really have any say in what I offer (besides the fact that more money goes to charity, yay!) as I will do all the above even for like the minimum amount (hey, donations are donations right?).
I also don’t have any preferred charities/causes/organizations, so feel free to donate to anything close to your heart.
