- Hello! I'm open to beta reading any fic up to 250k (or your estimate if the fic isn't finished yet). This isn't a hard rule since I know estimates can be wrong (it's happened to me many times), but please try to keep it at a reasonable length if you go over.
In terms of what I can offer as a beta reader:
I can do SPAG and flow, typesetting, etc.
I can also culture-pick for both American and Chinese-American lifestyles.
I can sensitivity read for the following topics: general racism (but especially if it's aimed at Asians), LBGTQ+ community, adoptees, single-parent households, interracial families, interracial families, interracial marriage.
I have experience in medial research, specifically in joint replacements, biomechanics, and computer simulation/modeling. I don't claim to be an expert per say (I'm still a student), but I can give a general idea of if something medical is realistic or not.
My beta reading speed really depends on how busy I am IRL and the type of beta work. For example, just looking for SPAG would take me less time than also checking for pacing and if the characters are ooc. I estimate I could have a 250K work done in approximately 10 months.
