- I will beta one piece of writing for you, up to 100k words ish. I'm not going to quibble over length if it's less than 10k words over that.
I actually relish the abject in fiction, and recognize that it is sometimes a hard thing to trust to any sort of editor at any level. If you have any hesitation, please check in via email. If your content is on the darker side, a heads-up is appreciated; however, I am truly open to anything. This applies to characters and relationships as well; I do enjoy MCU Bucky/Clint with Alpine and Lucky and am open to everything in my relationship section, but I'm also up for characters and relationships outside of those choices.
While I assist with minor grammar editing, I can also help with SPaG and flow. (scene pacing/character actions/dialogue). I tend to provide feedback through comments and suggestions on the fic, as well as a summary email at the end, touching on everything I notice and letting my author decide which changes to accept.
However, as a beta, I am open to almost anything. We can discuss what you need from my services, whether it's specific or minor - no worries. This is a service I want to contribute to fighting hate through fandoms. Please contact me if you would like to confirm that my skills align with your requirements. My familiarity with different canon differs - please note that I cannot assist with characterization, but I can provide continuity help.
Suggested tiers:
-$5: final-round beta, or less than 20k
- $15: mostly drafted works, or 20k-50k
-$30: rough drafts, dialogue help, or 50k-75k
-$40+: rough drafts, dialogue help, or 100k
For several reasons, my turnaround time can be up to a few weeks. One of those reasons includes that I am an art teacher IRL (Yes, I am paint splattered often.) Another could be the length of the work. If it truly is in the 100k range, it will take longer depending on the type of beta/editing you are requesting.
