- Embroidery: patches of: character logos or other symbolism, designs using the character's color scheme, (short) quotes/character names/etc.; and mostly done in my more sketchy-like design style (rather than hyper-realistic)
Fic: Canon or canon-divergent, character study, parent/child or mentor/mentee relationship, friendships/sibling relationships, found family, established relationship, friends to lovers before they become lovers, slice of life, banter, soft moments/tenderness, angst with comfort, soft but sad moments, wound care/emotional support/being there in their darkest moments (just generally hurt/comfort), grief/mourning, major character death, trauma studies, horror/gore.
I love writing about trans themes (exploring gender, coming out, hurt/comfort related to trans themes, dealing with surgery/HRT, most things except for excessive transphobia), whether it's the central plot of the fic or just a component of it.

- Work Description:
- OFFERING: Custom handmade embroidery work based on any of the above ships or characters -- I’ve listed what I'd be most excited to create for, but I'm pretty open to other characters/ships, so just ask! (Also totally down to do stuff for the X-Men team, instead of individual characters!)
Patches/small designs are roughly 3-4 in. diameter depending on the design, made in a 6.3 in. hoop. Large pieces are made in 10.7 in. hoop
IDEAS/EXAMPLES: See the examples of my work for an idea of the sort of large and small designs I've done. I don't do hyper-realistic designs, but instead really enjoy playing around with different ways to depict the image and use a more "sketch-like" style.
Ex. of patches: character/ship logo (i.e. Poolverine combined mask logo); symbols related to the character/ship (spider for Spider-Man - can be minimalist or more stylized); a small design in the character/ship colors (i.e. your favorite animal in Scott Summers colors); a short quote/name tag/other writing (i.e. "Merc with the Mouth" - font can be customized, to a point).
There are a lot of different things we could do with a large design (i.e. combining small designs; a more stylized, larger version of a small design; a long quote/larger text; a combo of any of the above). See the pieces still in hoops in my example post for an idea of how a larger design could look. Note that I don't do full depictions of characters or scenes. I can do a mask or a stylized depiction of a character's portrait but won't do anything full body.
TIERS:
$15 - one patch
$35 - two patches
$65 - three patches*
$100 - one large piece (can be kept on the hoop as a frame or sent without it)
$150 - one large piece + 1 patch
$200 - custom-designed button-down denim shirt/jacket** with either 2-3 designs/patches and 1-2 stylized areas (cuffs/collar/button seam/top of pocket) or 1 large back design and 1-2 stylized areas. Note: Winner will provide the clothing piece/item and must send it to me by December 31st, 2025; you must also confirm the item with me before sending it.
*At $65+ I'm open to discussing different combinations of the offerings, i.e. 1-2 larger patches instead of 3 regular patches, etc. Just reach out!
**I may also be able to do regular shirts, bags, table/altar cloths, etc., so reach out to me if you're interested in doing something other than a button-down and we can discuss options!
SHIPPING: I will cover cost of shipping up to $15, the rest of the cost will be paid by winner. I ship from the U.S. (For top tier item, I will only cover $15 for the return shipping of the finished piece.)
PODBIDS: I am allowing podbids, though since these are physical items, you would need to figure out how you'd like to split up the items and the cost of shipping. Note that I am only doing ONE custom piece of clothing, so unless you're doing a sisterhood of the traveling pants thing, that option would only make sense for one person.
MATERIALS: I live in a smoke-free home with cats. For patches I will provide the fabric; if you have a preference for the color/type of fabric we can discuss those options. For the highest tier, the designs will likely be sewn on as a patch, but depending on the item material, placement, and design, might be able to be sewn on directly. Stylized areas are sewn on directly.
