- This is my beta reader auction!
I will do 1 round of edits on 1k words per $1 donation. The total edits/words can also be divided up among multiple works.
I have a fairly fast turnaround, especially for shorter works, and can keep to a schedule (life permitting).
I edit for wording, flow, and clarity, as well as larger scale pacing and narrative structure, and give reactions/impressions as I read. I can do anything from a very thorough edit, commenting on every little thing that doesn't quite sound right, to a fairly relaxed edit, just pointing out things that are unclear or don't seem to come across the way you intended. The main exceptions are that I can't cheeread, and I'm better at sentence flow than grammar.
I can also provide expertise in Ashkenazi Judaism, biology (I'm an expert in evolutionary biology, but I also know some physiology and botany), and artificial intelligence/programming.
I've tagged all the fandoms I'm familiar with, but I'm happy to beta fandom blind. I'm also willing to do background reading/watching for an additional donation of $3 per hour for TV/movies or $1 per comics issue.
