- Work Description:
- I'm offering a custom hand-bound hardcover book for fanfic authors, who would like to have their own written work as a physical book in their bookshelf (or gift it to close friends). I'm open to bind anything and don't have DNWs, but feel free to reach out if you want to check that I'm okay with a ship or certain themes/topics before bidding.
How this works:
✦ 200k words max. This is due to limitations of my binding equipment at home. I may be able to squeeze in 300k words if the book is done in 2–3 column style with small fonts. Please reach out to me beforehand if you wish to see how it may look like printed out
✦ Author can choose to include several of their written fics into one book to reach the max word count
✦ Final book design is a "blind book", meaning that I will retain full creative freedom over the design process. Author will not know how the final book looks like until they have received it.
✦ Author may state their preferences, e.g.: love ribbon closures, favorite colors, do not like the feeling of velvet and don't like bookmark ribbons, etc.
✦ Due to the handmade nature of this item, there may be some visible imperfection
✦ If the bidding amount is or exceeds 200 USD, I will make two copies
✦ Pod bids are allowed, but I can ship the book(s) to only one address and I will only bind the number of books stated in the listing here. The typeset and any possible illustrations I might make for the book will be made available as a PDF/high-resolution file to be sent to the author, which can then be shared with other people. Personal use only
The book will be shipped around April/May 2026.
I can cover tracked standard shipping to anywhere my local post office ships to. Please reach out to me if you'd like to confirm shipment to your country is possible. Packages will be marked as a gift with the values lowered.
Standard shipping time:
✦ Germany: 5–7 business days
✦ EU countries: 14–20 business days
✦ Other European countries: 20–30 days
✦ Rest of the world: 6–8 weeks
If the recipient wishes for express shipping via DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc. with insurance, it will have to be covered be the winner (shipping can cost anywhere between 70–100 EUR).
Please note that the bidding winner is responsible for any custom and/or import fees that may incur.
