For writing: AUs of all sorts, identity based fics like engineer, artist, musician, circus performer, civil rights lawyer, whatever. Fluff with a bit (or a lot) of angst with a happy ending, hurt/comfort, enemies-to-lovers, and they were roommates, there was only one bed, kidfic, smut, comic book style action and adventure, humor.

- For binding: Please no unhappy ending, dark!characters, HTP, underage pairings, permanent character death, homophobia, hurt no comfort, dub-con/non-con, whump, incest, pedophilia. Graphic descriptions of torture or sexual assault are a no but brief reference to events may be fine.
For writing: I don't write historical fiction, daddy kink, A/B/O, HTP, most kinks (ok with smut, just don’t tend to be good at writing kink focused smut), or stuff that strictly adheres to canon (I’m ok with canon elements, but not good at painstaking accuracy to canon). I am not interested in writing abuse or toxic relationships or underage pairings. Threesomes and polyamory are not preferred as part of the main storyline.

- Work Description:
- I am offering to typeset and bind a fanfic (or anthology of fics) of your choice up to 110k words. If the bidder is not the author, I will also create a bonus free handbound version for the author to thank them for writing (assuming they are interested in receiving a copy). (If the bidder is the author, I can create one bonus free handbound version for a beta or artist.)
The handbound book will be a handsewn, hardcover bind with a fabric cover, cover decorations, chapter headers, and modest in-chapter/line break embellishments. See examples of my work here
NOTES:
Please note my preferred pairings and DNW. I need to be able to comfortably read and re-read the fic as I typeset. If the bidder is providing a fic that is already typeset, I may be more flexible with content. I might be willing to work with ships other than listed, but if you'd like to request only relationships I didn't offer, please contact me before bidding if I'm ok working with it. For the characters listed -centric I'm open to whatever pairings; for those with specific pairings listed, I'm more particular on pairings. I am also happy to bind a fic that is any gen or ship in the Guardians of the Galaxy fandom.
Permission:
Unless you are the author of the text you would like me to bind, or the fic has been orphaned, the author must provide permission to bind their fics, or offer blanket permission for transformative works on their ao3 profile. I’ll need this via screenshot or a shared email or dm exchange. Please also ask if the author would like to receive a copy of their fic. If the fic contains fan art that you would like included, the artist permission must also be obtained in the same manner.
Design:
I am open to ideas for design themes, preferred colors, etc to settle on a theme for both the typeset and the cover before I begin work.
Shipping:
I'm happy to ship one package anywhere within the lower 48 states of the US, but for international shipping I may ask for compensation for that shipping, depending on the amount over domestic shipping. Also, I have no idea what’s happening with tariffs so we’ll hold hands through that and figure it out, okay?
Podbids shipping: I will ship one package of books to one person. If there is a podbid with multiple bidders and multiple books, someone from the pod will need to be in charge of distributing the books.
The exception is the “bonus book”; if the author would like a copy of their book, I can ship that to them. Author books are for my own personal interest in thanking authors for their work, so I can cover that.
Definitions:
For my purposes here: Typesetting is the process of adapting text downloaded from ao3 for a print format, including adding ornamentation, etc. A typeset is a pdf document of a text prepared to be printed in book format. Handbinding is the process of printing and binding that typeset into a book.
Bidding Amounts:
For the opening bid I will typeset and handbind one fic.
I can make an additional handbound copy of that same typeset, or typeset additional words, for each additional $100 that is bid. So, for example, a $200 bid could mean two bound copies of the same under 110k word book. It could also mean one copy of a longer fic/anthology up to 250k words. $400 could mean three copies of an under 110k word book, or two copies of a longer book.
Numbers in between hundred dollar increments will be assessed ad hoc. Note: No matter how high bidding gets, my maximum output will be: one typeset, up to 250k words, and will only make up to 5 handbound books. (Bonus copies for authors/betas/artists are not included in these limits).
To make it more complicated, if you want a handbound copy of a fic I have already typeset, you can mix and match those for your additional books. So, for example, for $500, you could have 5 different books I’ve already typeset. I have a list of those (they are all Stucky fics) here.
