- All major archive warnings, genre fic, plot-heavy, smut/PWP, funky or niche AUs, unusual formats like epistolary or poetry, OC or reader inserts, kidfic, highly specific kinks… I love the new and weird as well as the beloved classics.
- Will NOT create works that contain:
- Animal cruelty beyond what’s typical for canon (A focus on animal death as a plot beat is fine, e.g. grieving a pet); Bash fic, Issue fic, Morality fic; Fics focused on current real-world events; Raceplay; Sexual content with characters under 10 (Allusions to CSA or past CSA as a plot point is fine). Any hard limits for me are listed here, so everything else is fair game!

- I’m so excited to offer this auction! Editing is the best mix of reading and writing, and I would love to help YOU with your work! Yes, you! With the 100k epic lurking in your WIPs! And you, with the folder of drabble gems you want put through the rock tumbler! And also you, my friend, carrying around an idea and feeling ready to see it grow into a fic.
“Beta services” covers a lot of different types of support, for me:
- Developmental editing (Usually early-stage “big picture” feedback on plot/structure/characters)
- Copy editing (Spelling, punctuation and grammar— if this is a big concern of yours, I’m happy to get really granular and follow a style guide)
- Cheer reading (Concrit or even just hyping you up, TAG ME IN!)
- Rubber ducking/idea development (I absolutely adore talking through stories and ideas, my favorite thing is a friend messaging me and going “I canNOT stop thinking about this fic idea”)
- Fact-checking (I may not be as useful for this with certain parts of the MCU canon, but if you want somebody to spend time going down rabbit holes, I’m your… rabbit, I guess?)
- Close reading (If you just want somebody to really pore over something and give feedback [but no suggestions] I am here and ready to go)

My limits: alas, we all have them, and here are mine:
- My knowledge of canon is limited: I know the movies pretty well, but you may need to point me to some reference materials if you’re writing something I’m not familiar with. This is not a burden or issue: I love doing research!
- Life has happened, is happening, will happen: I can’t make any promises on exact turnaround times for editing, especially for longer works. If something will massively impact my ability to give your work the attention it deserves, I’ll provide you as much advance warning as I can, and we'll figure out a timeline that works for the both of us.
- I’m happy to (gently) be an accountability buddy, but I don’t want to breathe down your neck like J. Jonah Jameson wanting new pictures of Spider-Man.
- Filk/songs: I can only be helpful as an enthusiastic listener, since I don’t have the chops to offer feedback on music.
- I need you to be explicit if there is feedback you do not want to receive. (For example: you have your plot and you are not looking to make any big changes to it, you would let me know that so I can focus on things like line-by-line flow or continuity, et cetera.)
I believe very deeply and genuinely that if an editor’s feedback has discouraged the writer from continuing to write, then they’ve done a bad job as an editor.
So! I'm happy to do whatever would be most helpful for you. And, let's make it interesting!
At the starting bid of $10: As much betaing as you'd like for a single fic! Length doesn't matter.
For every additional $10 bid, I'm happy to work with you on an additional fic. (So $30 would be three fics total, etc. Still length agnostic!)
And if you are truly, wildly crazy, for a bid of $100 or more: Consider me to be on retainer for you (or your pod!) for the entire year, until next MTH starts. I'll be an editorial jester you can summon to your court!
