- I'm offering to write and record a filk (a fan cover of a song) for you. If bidding exceeds $50, I'm happy to write and record two filks. You can check out filks I've made in the past by filtering my ao3 works for the tag 'filk' (some of these are multivoice filks written by other people, but I do have a good handful of solo filks you can listen to).
I'm quite flexible regarding communication/collaboration. I'm happy to work with you through the entire process and get your input at each step, to get handed a prompt of varying specificity and told to go crazy with it, or to provide ideas if you're unsure of what you'd like.
I am a soprano, with a vocal range from G3 to C6 (I can go a little lower on a good day, but the quality drops off pretty fast). I'd most likely be singing alongside a backing track. If a backing track does not exist (or the vibes require something different) I can play chords on an acoustic or electric guitar or play the cello. Happy to work with a wide range of music genres. My strongest vocals are in musical theatre, pop and 80s rock, but I've sung a bit of pretty much everything. I have quite a clear vocal tone and struggle with growling/heavy vocal texture/screaming.
If you would like me to record a filk you've written (or a filk you haven't written but have permission from the author to have recorded), that's a-okay, but please get into contact with me before bidding so I can make sure it's a song I have the capacity to sing. If the lyrics are already written, I'm happy to record filk for any/all characters/relationships/universes so long as the content avoids my DNWs.
