- Work Description:
- I can beta a work of any length with an opening bid of $5 for up to 50k words, and $1 for each 1k after that. Just your best guess. No worries if you go over the number of words to satisfy your auction.
The 5 charities listed are ones I have donated to in the past. You should still feel free to donate to the charity that most moves you.
I can't think of anything that I won't beta. While I may not be interested in reading a particular kink or subject for pleasure, I have done beta work for it in the past.
The characters I've chosen to highlight in gen and ships are the ones I prefer to read for pleasure. However, I can't think of a ship or gen that I would turn down beta work for. Especially since often times it makes me fall in love with characters I'm not as familiar with.
I read a lot of Avengers, Iron Man, Captain America, and related 616. I've read almost all of the Ultimates Universe. I love the entirety of the MCU. And I have good knowledge to a passing fancy with everything else in the universes listed, with the exception of the video games.
I have had previous beta experience in Due South, The Sentinel, Bleach (manga & anime), Naruto (manga & anime), along with some older & some much smaller fandoms. I try to be upbeat and provide alternatives, rather than criticize, but I prefer you tell me what type of beta feedback you prefer. I did a lot of beta work approximately 10 years ago on and off for 8 people with wildly different ideas in what they wanted from a beta, so I think I'm fairly flexible in that regard. I have provided simple spelling/grammar/structure, all the way up to bouncing ideas back and forth, and everything in between. I want to be the type of beta YOU need, so that you are happy.
If you're unsure or want to clarify anything, feel free to contact me via Dreamwidth or AO3 at LOU2.
